In both cases, (adding a list of links or individual ones) make sure that you click on the "test URL" button before you save the link(s).

If you receive a "backlinks test passed" message, go ahead and save the link.

If you receive a "backlink test failed" message, it means there is a problem with the link.

What does a "backlink test failed" message mean?

A "backlink test failed" message can mean one of two things:

  1. The url that you've input doesn't contain an active backlink to the project's main URL.
The text may be visible on the page, but it does not actively link anywhere
  1. If you've checked the URL's page and see that the backlink is active, you may have input the wrong URL address.

Double-check to make sure that you haven't forgotten any letters or symbols in the address.

For example, check that you've included any necessary extensions such as
    "http://www.mysite.com/index.html" instead of "http://www.mysite.com/index"
